WELCOME ABOARD
Hello; and welcome to the web site that will chronicle the journey of Scott and Marian
Bulger. We'll use this web site to provide insight into who we are, why we are doing this,
and how things are progressing. We hope you will enjoy following along.
This site is being maintained by Scott's father, Joe, living in Florida. Joe is open to
suggestions on making this site better, or correcting problems that may be experienced.

Please be aware that we are just begining to format this site, so things will be a little
disjointed as we get this site into final shape for the voyage. As an example, the map
below is our first introduction to the planned voyage in '07 and '08. Things will get more
definitive as we get closer to leaving Seattle and the details get firmed up.
First of all; who are we?
Scott and Marian have been married for more than 25 years. We met in Saint Monica's
Catholic Church on Mercer Island, WA. A month after we met we were engaged and
were married five months later. We are both believers in love at first sight.
Fortunately, Scott was in the right place at the right time and joined the Internet Revolution when it was text-based, long before there was something they called a browser. Never having attended ciollege, Scott built his knowledge through hard work and dedication. He was fortunate enough to meet somwe wonderful managers who gave him a chance. With Marian's support our two daughters went on to college and both returned to start their own acreers. They each found partners and are starting lives of their own.
We have two daughters; both getting married in early 2007. Looking to the future Scott had thoughts about taking some time to enjoiy life now, because he and Marian never really had that honeymoon period that lots of couples enjoy before the kids come. Here's a photo of the family including (l to r) Shannon and Bridget who just rcently got married,and of course the First Mate and the Skipper of our newest family member, ALANUI.
Here we are. . . Scott and Marian Bulger, getting novice cruising experience
in our early Camano. In section 3, we'll introduce you to our Nordhavn 40, and
we'll outline our plans for '06 and '07 cruising.
Now that we're acquainted, we'll tell you about our plans for our first extended
cruise on our new ship "Alanui", a Nordhavn 42.
