THEY HAVE ARRIVED IN KEY WEST

After 1113 nautical miles from San Blas to Key West, averaging 7.35 knots over seven days, Scott and Dwight have earned the title of PASSAGEMAKER.

Video during the voyage:   Alanui_1.WMV

The video above was shot by Dwight Knechtel.  It was about 3 days into the trip in the middle of the Caribbean.  We were experiencing 4 to 6 foot seas from various directions, all astern.  What you hear me say is:  "Whoaaaaa, Whoaaaaa, that was at the limits".  What I was saying was the stabilizers had reached their operational limits as a wave came from behind us and caused us to slew in the trough.  99% of the time that boat doesn't roll at all, and this was an example of the worst the roll got, which was nothing at all!

Anything else to add would be superfluous. . . or something like that.  I forgot; One more thing. . . all are well and Skipper Scott is really proud of his Nordhaven. Details will follow.

One more note. . . Marian has arrived in south FL and we are gathering stories. . . and 3000+ pictures as fast as we can. Marian looks and feels great as she looks forward to flying to Seattle for a few days change of pace on her home brounds. What a apleasure she has been as our guest since Saturday
